Kids Ministry Roles
NURSERY (CRAWLERS) HELPER (8:30A, 10A & 11:30A)
Description: This role is to provide a safe, secure, nurturing care to the children, while playing with them or directing their play, reading to them, praying for the children and exhibiting Christ-like patience and love, and assisting with the provided class lesson in words the child can understand.
NURSERY (WALKERS) HELPER (8:30A & 11:30A)
Description: This role is to provide a safe, secure, nurturing care to the children, while playing with them or directing their play, reading to them, praying for the children and exhibiting Christ-like patience and love, and assisting with the provided class lesson in words the child can understand.
TODDLERS 2T Helper (10A & 11:30A)
Description: This role is to provide a safe, secure, nurturing care to the children, while playing with them or directing their play, reading to them, praying for the children and exhibiting Christ-like patience and love, and assisting with the provided class lesson in words the child can understand.
PRESCHOOL 4'S HELPER (8:30A & 11:30A)
Description: This role is to provide a safe, secure, nurturing care to the children, while playing with them or directing their play, reading to them, praying for the children and exhibiting Christ-like patience and love, and assisting with the provided class lesson in words the child can understand.
KINDERGARTEN LEAD TEACHER (11:30A)
Description: This role is to provide a safe, secure, nurturing care to the children, while playing with them or directing their play, reading to them, praying for the children and exhibiting Christ-like patience and love, and teaching the provided class lesson in words the child can understand.
4TH GRADE LEAD TEACHER (11:30A)
Description: This role is to provide a safe, secure, nurturing care to the children, while playing with them or directing their play, reading to them, praying for the children and exhibiting Christ-like patience and love, and teaching the provided class lesson in words the child can understand.
1ST, 2ND & 4th GRADE HELPER (11:30A)
Description: This role is to provide a safe, secure, nurturing care to the children, while playing with them or directing their play, reading to them, praying for the children and exhibiting Christ-like patience and love, and assisting with the provided class lesson in words the child can understand.
Special Needs Buddies (8:30A, 10AM & 11:30A)
Description: A buddy serves to help assist a child in a typical Kids Ministry classroom. We want each child to have a consistent buddy, where relationships are fostered and trust is gained. A buddy’s role is to help facilitate meaningful connections between a child and their teacher/peers, as well as helping a child grow to know and love the Lord.
Kids Check-In (8:30A, 10AM & 11:30A)
Description: This role is to provide a warm, welcoming environment for first time guests and existing TJC families. Assist families with checking-in their children and escorting them to their child's classes before each service. Setting a tone by initiating conversations and helping people feel comfortable and welcomed.
