Position Summary
The Director of Facilities is responsible for managing and developing the church’s facilities systems, processes and volunteer/contract labor, in order to ensure they support the ministries effectively. This includes overseeing operations, maintenance, appearance, and cleanliness of all facilities as well as organizing equipment set up and breakdown for activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate with the Administrative Pastor to establish and document maintenance protocols, standards, and best practices for The Journey Church property.

Attend staff meetings and complete required forms and reports promptly.

Formulate and coordinate program specifications, proposals, and contracts for facility management.

Maintain a thorough inventory of all equipment and conduct appropriate inspections.

Assist the Administrative Pastor/Executive Pastor as needed in the development of facility related initiatives of the church.

Participate in appropriate conferences and associations to remain informed and engaged with facility trends and resources.

Oversee management of operations of an access control system and fire system in connection with local fire department and/or security providers.

Assist Administrative Pastor in proposing long-term strategies for upgrades and other capital expenditures related to facilities and support.

Monitor compliance with all federal, state and local codes and guidelines, and act as a liaison to public utility, environmental, and energy agencies, as required.

Develop and oversee the annual maintenance budgets to include operating needs as well as capital budget needs for the campus and analyze ways to drive innovations and reduce operational cost.

Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Provide the highest standards of service inside/outside of church
Education and/or Experience

Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Some facilities management experience is a plus

Must have knowledge and/or expertise in the care and maintenance of property and grounds
