Matt Espenshade
Executive Pastor
Hello! I am Matt Espenshade, and I am the Executive Pastor ("XP") and one of the Directional Elders here at TJC. My family and I have called TJC home since we moved to Tennessee in 2016. In 2021, I answered a call to vocational ministry as TJC's XP. Before that, I spent 34 years serving our country in the military and federal law enforcement. I am humbled that God chose to reveal Himself to me and prepare me through those experiences to further His mission in the local church. I try to lead with compassion, integrity, purpose, and conviction so His mission can be fulfilled in all we do here at TJC. What a privilege it is to be part of His miraculous plan! My wife, Lisa, and I have four adult children who are scattered in far-flung locations. We have lived adventures together all over the world, but it is the greatest joy to serve this congregation and watch what God is doing in our lives individually and corporately.
